These were the heirs to the Glasgow boys and comprised 4 painters, S J Peploe, F C B Cadell, G L Hunter and J D Fergusson. Like the Glasgow boys they absorbed the bright and vibrant colours of the modern french artists giving it their own distinctive Scottish style. Four magnificent painters whose work is rightly held in high esteem.
