Josef Eberz

Born in Germany, Eberz was a graphic artist, painter and illustrator, teaching in Munich, Sttutgard and Cologne. After the 1st World War Eberz was working with Max Beckmann and was a member of the Darmstadt Secession but by 1937 his work was concidered by the Nazi's to be 'degenerate' and much was destroyed. His early work has a strong Expressionist feel with elements of Cubism and Futurism giving strong vibrant images. He died in Munich in 1942.
