Rear garden of a large Victorian house with out houses shrubs and trees The pen work is finely observed with hatching to accentuated the forms and folds of the buildings and fauna. The wash over the pen work heightens the strength of the composition. Note the old style television aerial on the roof of the house, dating this work to the mid 1950's or earlier.

| About the artist
Born: 1926
Died: 1994
Peter Brannan was trained at the Leicester school of art and went on to become an exiting innovative figure painter. He was a member of the Royal Society of British artists and the Lincolnshire society of artists. A retrospective of his work was held at the Goldmark Gallery. He was a regular contributor to magazines of articles on fellow artists. A well loved man but very private.
