A woodblock print of 5 hooded figures with anguished expressions
A very powerful image of 5 hooded figures in a state of anguish. The picture is titled the bereaved and may relate to a period of time during the last war that Colin Moss spent in Germany after the end of hostilities. It is not known whether or not he spent any time near concentration camps but the inference is there. This this is a disturbing image made the more so by the use of only one colour. Black is a very powerful tool in the artists armoury and this has been used to dramatic effect in this painting. An artist's proof.
Executed during the second world war
