The Nottingham Hotel and public house in Seaview St Cleethorpes Lincolnshire A fine watercolour wash drawing executed on the spot using subtle colours. The painting was produced using a drawn pencil base over which colour is applied and then highlighted with Indian ink Using own zoom facility it really is worth studying the frosted windows and interior of the pub. This area alone indicates the consummate skill of the artist in capturing a moment in time. This painting has been stored in a portfolio away from light for over 60 years and we are confidant that these are the original colours painted by the artist on that day in Cleethorpes. The business still exists under the same name at 5/7 Sea view St but sadly Gilmour's Windsor ales, a South Yorkshire brewery are defunct.
