Corn sheaves stacked ready for transport to the nearby threshing yard in a Lincolnshire cornfield after harvest A lovely painting of harvest executed in the 1920s. This painting shows the old-fashioned methods and demonstrates farming techniques before the introduction of modern technology. Edward Brannan has used a very limited palette of greens and blues resulting in a very fine controlled watercolour.
