A group of cottages on a raised river bank with foliage and trees in the distance Fine atmospheric work that was produced from a prepared copper plate that was etched on the spot and taken back to the studio for printing. This type of picture does not involve long hours of studio work with re-etching, but represents the artists immediate feelings and perceptions. We would refer you to the Glossary for a detailed description of the process of etching. There is a rich tone to the work with fine passages of hatching to accentuate shadows. The work has full margins.
