Watercolour of a dockyard scene with stevedores and cranes and a large pile of timber and drums awaiting loading Watercolour painting with pen and ink outlining of a continental port scene. The painting is unsigned but initialled EA and dated (19)25. The cranes give a vertical emphasis to the painting and contrast against the scale of the workers who are in animated conversation. This is a very strong work of fine quality, but as yet, the artist has not been identified or the scene located. Please see item 862 for another example of a work by this artist.
