Feriliser workers crushing material and then bagging it up Very interesting watercolour Fisons fertiliser workers using a crusher to break up what looks like large pieces of rock. This is a watercolour on top of a pencil outline with pen and ink additions to highlight individual features. Each of the men are personal studies and the use of the zoom facility displays their own characteristics. I particularly like the man sitting watching 3 men struggling to move a large boulder! This work has been stored in a portfolio for over 50 years and we are confident that the colours portrayed are those which the artist painted
