A pair of geese flying over a lake with a bright orange sunset in the sky and reeds in the foreground This painting has been produced by a series of watercolour washes laid down onto paper. The artist has moved from light to dark producing a scene that emits light and shadow especially in the colours of the sunset. Notice the fine reflections in the water from the setting sun.

| About the artist
Born: 1934
Artist in watercolour and acrylic of landscapes and wildlife. Studied art at St Helen's college of art and design. Arthur has exhibited nationally and abroad for over 40 years and with the Society of Wildlife artist's since 1965 of which he is a full member. He has twice been a finalist in the Laing art competition and his work is in private collections throughout the United Kingdom.
