A haycart and figures unloading hay at a farm house

A fine delicate work of art. The busy farm scene has been highlighted by the men working on top of the hay carts. The yard seems to belong to "Ward" from the notice on the left. A compendium of etching terms and descriptions is available on this site.

A good warm impression from an early pull of the plate. The burin has not etched too deeply and the ink applied sparingly to the plate resulting in a delicate warm image
