2 horses in a stable block with a steep sloping roof and wooden beams Charming if somewhat unusual study of 2 horses in a stable block. This painting was executed on a dry paper base using a limited amount of watercolour to accentuate the interior of the barn. On top of this he has added a pen and Indian ink outline to give shape and form to the composition. Notice how the artist has used the paper to produce the white rump of the nearest horse. This fine impressionist painting captures the mood and feel of the stable interior to perfection. This work has been stored in a portfolio for over 50 years and we are confident that the colours portrayed are those which the artist painted
