Fields in front of an Industrial complex with a large chimney Fine quality oil painting executed in an expressionist manner. The picture has been built up with repeated layers of paint with light and dark passages giving depth to the scene. The painting has balance added by the poplar trees to the left so as to off set the height of the chimney. Notice how the artist has deliberately placed that chimney away from the centre to avoid duality in the composition. A great work of art with strong contrasting elements.
