A horse and cart in a village lane with a lady cyclist and a church Very good etching of a village lane with a horse and cart. The artist would have a series of ready prepared etching plates for use at such a moment when he came across a scene he wanted to capture. Here we have lots of rich tones and shadows formed by cross hatching giving life to the trees and the cart. We would recommend that you see the Glossary for a detail description of the techniques of etching. The work is initialled in the plate and has full margins.
