A barman leaning on a counter in Louth on a rainy day Fabulous wash drawing of a barman leaning on a counter surveying the empty premises. The painting has been produced using a brush and Indian ink, thinned according to the level of tonal variation required. It is well worth using our zoom facility on this work to study the barman's face and attitude with his head resting firmly on his hand. The picture could easily be titled 'ennui' and is a little masterpiece fine full of human l interest and pathos.
