red chalks on paper
£144 framed

Reclining nude with torso and legs visible William Dring was a master draughtsman who had the ability to capture an image with a few lines of pencil and chalks. He knew that less was more when drawing the human figure and that detail would be superfluous and unnecessary, an important factor in this fine red chalks work. Note the simplicity of the pose and the ease with which he captures the human body. A marvelous work.
