A garden scene in Sudbrooke with a profusion of flowers and trees An expressionist oil painting of a magnificent garden with many different flowers and shrubs. The artist has not tried to capture the scene in detail but to express his own feelings and emotions about what he sees. It is his inner experiences and impulses that he seeks to portray, not an objective representation of a given subject. The colours are bright and cheerful with a warmth of feeling that combine to create a superb painting.
