A really charming subject familiar to anyone visiting a seaside town in the 2nd half of the 20th century. There is an innocence to this scene that no longer exists at the modern venues. More's the pity. Peter specialised in these one-off prints of seaside subjects. They could be produced quickly giving an immediate and lasting impression.

About the artist

Born: 1926

Died: 1994

Peter Brannan was trained at the Leicester school of art and went on to become an exiting innovative figure painter. He was a member of the Royal Society of British artists and the Lincolnshire society of artists. A retrospective of his work was held at the Goldmark Gallery. He was a regular contributor to magazines of articles on fellow artists. A well loved man but very private.
