Item number 7302

A gypsy caravan with a horse and figures encamped in front of a line of tall trees

A beautiful atmospheric scene painted in dark shades to indicate dusk and the coming of night. The watercolour has been applied loosely over a pencil outline with a limited palette to heighten the sense of shade. The figures in the lea of the caravan are well observed and the whole makes an extremely attractive item.

Painted in the early 1930's on or near the family farm
